<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a face member in the all area of the front face of a head in a golf club fixing the face member on the front face of a head body. <P>SOLUTION: The face member 11 and the head body 12 are formed respectively. One side edge, the upper edge 17 and the lower edge 18 of the face member 11 are formed into the same dimensions of those of the front edge of the head body 12 in a toe side, the front edge 4A of the upper face 4 and the front edge 5A of a sole 5 respectively. The respective back sides of one side edge, the upper edge 17 and the lower edge 18 are butted on the respective front sides of the front edge in the toe side, the front edge 4A of the upper face 4 and the front edge 5A of the sole 5 respectively and the butting parts 19a are welded. A melt part of the welded part extends toward the central part of the face 3. The nozzle 20 of a welding device is faced the butting part 19A and moved in the longitudinal direction of the butting part 19A to perform the welding.
