PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the viewability of periodic unevenness which may be generated in a part for boundary portion of dotting pattern peculiar to concentration pattern method. SOLUTION: The relative displacement of two or more recording heads which make it come to a first direction to arrange a record element and recording media is made to carry out in the first direction and a second direction that carries out a nearly rectangular cross. In an image processing method which changes multi value image data into dot arrangement data so as to form an image, a dot pattern table where a dot pattern corresponding to a position of a pixel is defined about each gradation value is used so that the stripe unevenness resulting from the record characteristic of each record element may be corrected by the correlation with a neighboring record element. Concerning the block sequence of the dot pattern which continues in contact with the second direction, a block of each dot pattern on the dot pattern table is divided such that a boundary with a block which adjoins in the first direction comes into contact by a contiguity relation used as a form containing a line segment which does not agree with a straight line which continues along the second direction.
