PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system 10 permitting to reduce a space occupied by parts in a navigation device 20 while reducing the number of parts in the navigation device 20. SOLUTION: In the navigation system 10 of this invention, the navigation device 20 sends a video, an OSD image, and a signal for switching between the video and the display image to a display device 30, and performs switching between the video and the OSD image for each pixel on the display device 30 side. Further, when sending the video and the OSD image to the display device 30, the navigation device 20 assigns 8 bits to each of RGB, and assigns 6 bits to the video and 2 bits to the OSD image about each of RGB.
