CARBURIZING APPARATUS AND CARBURIZING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburizing apparatus which can rapidly and exactly calculate the state of a furnace gas inside a carburizing furnace and can perform a vacuum carburizing treatment with a good reproducibility. SOLUTION: The carburizing apparatus comprises: a carburizing furnace for accommodating an object; a gas supply device for supplying a carburizing gas into the carburizing furnace; a light-emitting device which emits light by using the gas inside the carburizing furnace supplied with the carburizing gas; a light-receiving device for receiving the light from the light-emitting device, and a processing device for calculating the composition of the gas inside the furnace based on the light reception results of the light-receiving device.
