PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently refreshing toner corresponding to a user's type of usage without spoiling quality as a long product when an image is formed on a long sheet.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a paper carrying part capable of carrying a long sheet; an electrophotographic image forming part; and a control part for controlling a toner refreshment operation. The toner refreshment operation comprises: a first toner refreshment operation for forming a discharge toner image in an image carrier to remove the image by an image carrier cleaning part; and a second toner refreshment operation for forming a discharge toner image in the image carrier to transfer and fix the image on the long sheet. The control part performs the first toner refreshment operation or the second toner refreshment operation between jobs when the toner refreshment operation is required.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
