A pressure regulation device, having at least one turbine valve for regulating the pressure, is arranged in the feed water-steam circuit between the once-through steam generator and the steam turbine, the pressure regulation device being controlled by a control unit in such a way that, in the event of sudden load reductions, the drop in pressure associated therewith occurs, in a time delayed manner, by throttling of the at least one turbine valve.
