A method tor manufacturing a floor slat tor use as part of a moving floor in a trailer camprises the steps of providing a piece of stainless steel sheet metal, and roll forming the piece of stainless steel sheet metal to form a profile to be part of the floor slat. With this method, a floor slat can be obtained, having a cross sectional shape that is optimal in view of the wall thickness and total floor slat thickness that are minimally required tor the floor slat to have a certain degree of rigidity, and tor the floor slat to contain a relatively low quantity of material and hence to be relatively light. |
