1. A method, comprising:
receiving, at a network entity configured to route requests in a packet switched network, a request comprising an indication of a function mode associated with the request, wherein function mode indicates whether the request is associated with a service identity, and wherein the function mode further indicates whether the request comprises an originating request or a terminating request; detecting, at the network entity, the indication of the function mode; and processing, at the network entity, the request in accordance with the function mode indicated in the request, wherein the processing includes evaluation of filter criteria applicable to the function mode associated with the request, and wherein the processing skips over evaluation of filter criteria applicable to another function mode. |
