PURPOSE:To provide an automatic transaction device capable of returning cash held in the device when service interruption in transaction is restored without allowing a clerk to go to the position of the device. CONSTITUTION:The automatic transaction device 1 is provided with a memory 17 for recording the positions of bills or coins moving in a bill charging/ discharging part 12 or a coin charging/discharging part 13 in accordance with the advancement of a transaction without erasing them even at the time of service interruption and a central processing unit (CPU) 3 for judging whether the bills or coins can be returned or not based upon the record of the memory 17, at the restoration of service interruption recognizing the bills or coins when their return is possible, recording the recognized result in the memory 17, and returning the bills or coins to a customer based upon a command outputted from a monitoring terminal 6. |
