A biaxially-oriented, shrinkable, heat-fixed tubular film has at least one layer comprising 75-100 wt.% of a partially-aromatic copolyamide made up of (a) 90-98 wt.% units derived from iota -caprolactam and (b) 10-2 wt.% units derived from equimolar amounts of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid. A biaxially-oriented, shrinkable, heat-fixed tubular film has at least one layer comprising 75-100 wt.% of a partially-aromatic copolyamide made up of (a) 90-98 wt.% units derived from iota -caprolactam and (b) 10-2 wt.% units derived from equimolar amounts of (i) hexamethylenediamine, trimethyl- hexamethylenediamine, isophoronediamine and/or bis(4-aminocyclohexyl)-methane or -propane and (ii) isophthalic-, terephthalic-, 4-Me (or t.Bu)-isophthalic- and/or 1,4- or 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic-acid.
