PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal air blower whose rotary drive source can be prevented from going wrong by preventing fluid entering the inside of a cooling passage from entering the inside of the rotary drive source. SOLUTION: The cooling passage 36 of the centrifugal blower 10 includes a cooling airstream introducing holes 30a, 30b for taking in the cooling airstream cooling the rotary drive source 12, and a fluid reservoir room 37 formed in a more downstream side than the cooling airstream introducing holes 30a, 30b, while the fluid reservoir room 37 includes a first rib 50. The fluid introduced from the cooling airstream introducing holes 30 is prevented from leaking by a second rib 48. Further, the cooling passage 36 includes a drain hole 52 formed at a first bottom surface 46 of the fluid reservoir room 37 and the second rib 48 which is provided between the drain hole 52 and the first rib 50 and whose height from the first bottom surface 46 is lower than that of the first rib.
