PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information device with camera including a mechanical vibration detection device capable of sharing a control means with low power consumption. SOLUTION: The portable information device with a camera including a plurality of modes includes: vibration detecting means for detecting vibration of the portable information device with the camera; a lens provided in the portable information device with the camera; and a control unit which controls the lens to prevent vibration in an image of a subject on the basis of a detection result of the vibration detecting means in a first mode during which photographing is performed, among the plurality of modes, and switches operation based on the detection result of the vibration detecting means in a mode different from the first mode.
