R.357216 - 9 - Abstract A vibration pickup (10) for picking up vibrations of a component (12) causing vibrations is proposed. The vibration pickup (10) comprises a housing (14) with an interior space (16), and a sensor element (32). The sensor element (32) is arranged in the interior space (16) of the housing (14). The housing (14) is designed so as to be connectable to the component (12) by means of a fastening element (38). The fastening element (38) extends through the interior space (16) and is at least partially surrounded by the sensor element (32). The sensor element (32) is directly attached to the fastening element (38). The vibration pickup (10) can be designed in particular as a knock sensor.
