PURPOSE:To reduce the viscosity change at high temperatures and under high shearing forces and improve the long-term stability of a polydimethylsiloxane or polymethylphenylsiloxane fluid by blending the fluid with a polyorganosiloxane having a specific organic group. CONSTITUTION:The title composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane of formula I (wherein a and b are correlated as 1.9<a+b<2.1 and 0<=b/a+b<=0.4) with a viscosity (25 deg.C) of 100-1,000,000cSt, that is a polydimethylsiloxane or polymethylphenylsiloxane fluid, 0.1-10 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane of formula II (wherein R is a 5-20C alkyl, halogen-substituted alkyl, halogen-substituted aryl or carboxyalkyl; R' is methyl or phenyl; c is 1-3; and d is 0-3), and, if necessary, a heat resistance imparting agent, antioxidant, etc. |
