A combination bed extension/ramp apparatus for attachment to a sleeve-hitch of a truck having a bed and a tailgate, the apparatus comprising a non-revolving hitch- mount; a rear panel pivotally associated with the hitch-mount to pivot around a substantially horizontal axis from a first substantially upright position, whereby the rear panel act s as an extended tailgate for a bed extended onto the tailgate of the truck, to a second position, whereby the rear panel is pivoted away from the truck for use in ramp mode; at least one lower ramp, for use in ramp mode, defining a ground end for resting on the ground, and an engaging end adapted to non-pivotally engage the edge of the rear panel that is furthest from the truck when the rear panel is in the second position, whereby when t he ground end is rested on the ground, the lower ramp holds the rear panel in the seco nd position and forms a first partial ramp that extends from the ground to said edge of the rear panel; at least one upper ramp, for use in ramp mode, defining a tailgate end for resting on the tailgate when the tailgate is extended horizontally outward from the truck, and an engaging end adapted to engage said edge of the rear panel, the upper ramp forming a second partial ramp that extends from said edge of the rear panel to the edg eof the tailgate furthest from the truck; whereby the first partial ramp and the second partial ramp, in combination, form a full ramp that extends from the ground to said edge of the tailgate.
