PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for searching a route by automatically determining a frequent outing place as a destination, under the condition that the user go to a determined destination in a determined time band of a determined weekday or a spot that is the final destination is defined as the most frequent outing destination. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises converting the current time information into a time band code indicating a weekday and a time band; storing the set number of times of the destination at each time band code determined, on the basis of a current time band code when the destination is newly set; storing the destination and the time band code as a unique set spot, when the set number of the destination exceeds a prescribed number, retrieving the destination, on the basis of the current time band code when the navigation system is started; and searching the route by automatically setting the frequently going out place as the destination under prescribed conditions.
