Plastic composite film

The composite foil (17) has layers arranged in mutual superposition. The layers comprise a base foil (10) made of plastic, a metal foil (12) and a functional plastics layer (14). A metal protective layer (13) is applied through a physical deposition process, such as vapor deposition processes or sputtering. A chromium layer with thickness of 0.1 to 1000 nanometers is arranged on the metal foil layer, or in the direction of the functional plastics layer or on the functional plastics layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of plastics composite foil.
