A magnifying observation probe (1) comprises: an insertion section (4) comprising a distal end member (2) and an outer tube (3) connected to each other; an observation section that comprises a distal end face (2f) that can contact biological mucosa and is provided on the distal end member (2), and an illumination window (13) and an observation window (15) through which the biological mucosa in contact with the distal end face (2f) is observed; and a holding unit (5) that is disposed on the outer circumferential face of the distal end member (2) and that has a ring (5a) projecting further toward the front than the distal end face (2f), and an enlarged diameter portion (5b) enlarged in the direction of the outer diameter of the outer circumferential face and provided with a plurality of divided pieces (6) in the circumferential direction further to the base end side than the ring (5a). |
