PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove ice around a throttle valve at the time of an engine start-up with improved reliability.SOLUTION: A throttle valve 36 is installed in an inclined passage 30b which is a portion of an intake passage 30 and inclined with respect to a vertical direction. An engine control device controls the throttle valve 36 in a manner that: maintains a valve opening at a first reference opening X when an engine is stopped; and fully closes the throttle valve 36 after increasing the valve opening from the first reference opening X to a second reference opening Y when the engine is started up.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
