<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a data transmitter wherein power consumption when data are transmitted is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system comprises a source apparatus 1 for transmitting data; a destination apparatus 16 which can receive data from the source apparatus 1, and can output the received data; and at least a repeater 9 for relaying data communication between the source apparatus 1 and the destination apparatus 16. A CPU 7 of the source apparatus 1 in such a communication system determines a degree of the power consumption in a plurality of communication paths containing a first direct path up to the destination apparatus 16 in accordance with a predetermined standard stored in a memory 8. The CPU 7 of the source apparatus 1 selects a path having lower power consumption from a plurality of communication paths based on the determination result, and transmits data to the path via a transmitter 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
