The bottom of the hull has a V-shaped configuration which is sharper at the bows and shallow at the stern. The rear of the hull is widened by two lateral profiles (12) which are similarly sloped to the centre of the hull, but set higher than the centre. The wider rear of the hull enables larger engines to be fitted. The raised outer profiles start to lift the hull into a planar position from low speeds, enabling the craft to plane on a reduced hull area.
