<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide au inexpensive hub unit bearing which is excellent in operability and rotating performance enabling the reduction in an unsprung mass of various kinds of vehicle by shortening the axial dimension. <P>SOLUTION: The hub unit bearing is provided with an inner ring element 2 and an outer ring element 4 arranged to be relatively rotatable with each other, a plurality of rolling elements 6, 8 installed, freely rolling, between the inner and outer ring elements, and a sealing device (a seal 22) installed between the inner ring element and the outer ring element to prevent a lubricating agent from leaking and a foreign substance from permeating. A flange (an outward flange 10a) is installed in the axial outside of the inner ring element or the outer ring element composed as a rotating ring, and an annular curve Cs is installed in at least axial outside or axial inside in the inner ring element. The sealing device has three lips 32, 34, 36, and two lips of them slide with the annular curve.
