<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorption system for removing a virus and a viral component, especially a hepatitis C virus from a physiological liquid, especially whole blood or blood plasma by an adsorption process performed outside the body and an adsorption material for employing for the adsorption system. <P>SOLUTION: The adsorption system has a polymer matrix comprising as a monomer a unit derived from methacrylic acid which has a penetration pore with a radius of 20-1,000 micrometers and porosity of 0.25-0.75 and comprises an adsorption material particle with an average radius of 20-500 micrometers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
