A disc recording and reproducing apparatus is provided to prevent the generation of vibration and reduce a noise in the operation of a disc drive by uniformly maintaining a gap between an inner circumference surface of a disc gateway formed in a front panel and an outer circumference surface of a disc door. A tray conveys a disc. A front panel(33) has a disc gateway(41) which the tray enters. A disc door(40) is formed in the tray. The disc door(40) opens and closes the disc gateway(41). A position adjuster(44) is protruded on at least one of the disc gateway(41) and the disc door(40). The position adjuster(44) prevents an eccentricity of the disc door(40).
