PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elevator control system reducing the number of earthquake sensors by using emergency earthquake advance report by a cellular phone. SOLUTION: One elevator provided in the same group is an elevator with an earthquake sensor, comprising a cellular phone unit receiving the emergency earthquake advance report, a control operation processing device responding to the cellular phone unit, which performs controlled operation of the elevator upon earthquake, earthquake sensors, and an elevator control panel. On the other hand, all of the other elevators provided in the same group are elevators with no earthquake sensor, each comprising the cellular phone unit receiving the emergency earthquake advance report, the earthquake controlled operation processing device responding to the cellular phone unit, which performs controlled operation of the elevator upon earthquake, and the elevator control panel.
