PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide side rails capable of reducing fuel consumption of an engine while reducing oil consumption amount.SOLUTION: Side rails 1 formed into a split-ring shape with abutment, combined with an annular spacer expander 2 to constitute a combined oil ring 3 for an internal combustion engine together with the spacer expander 2 are constituted in such a way that they include an outer circumferential surface 14 facing outside in a radial direction, an inner circumferential surface 13 facing inside in a radial direction, a first axial side surface 11 facing toward a crank chamber, a second axial side surface 12 facing toward a combustion chamber and in parallel with the first axial side surface 11, protrusions 20 arranged at the outer circumferential surface 14 while being displaced toward the first axial side surface 11 in respect to a center position between the first axial side surface 11 and the second axial side surface 12 and protruded toward outside in a radial direction in respect to the outer circumferential surface 14, and a tapered part 23 arranged between the second axial side surface 12 and the outer circumferential surface 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
