A two-wire trailing edge phase cutting control dimmer power supply arrangement including a positive feedback for providing a latching arrangement between a first transistor and a second transistor, wherein said latching arrangement is characterized by a latched configuration capable of delivering current in a normal mode of operation for the dimmer when a load current is switched ON when the lamp under the control of the dimmer is required to be ON, and an unlatched configuration such that current flowing through the active terminal and the load terminal in the unlatched configuration charges a storage capacitor that allows a settable low voltage supply to make available an operational current for the dimmer when load current is switched OFF and the lamp under the control of the dimmer is required to be OFF without observable visible light and/or flickering. |
