A locking fitting (40) for coupling and locking a wheel chair component (36), particularly a leg support, to a wheel chair frame (42, 44) is provided with coupling means (56, 58) adapted to couple the wheel chair component (36) to the wheel chair frame (42, 44) in such a manner that the wheel chair component (36) may pivot to an angle with respect to the wheel chair frame (42, 44) around a pivoting axis defined by the wheel chair frame. The locking fitting furthermore comprises locking means (62, 66, 52, 72, 74) being switchable between a first position wherein the wheel chair component (36) is locked to the wheel chair frame (42,44) and a second position in which the wheel chair component (36) is pivotable with respect to the wheel chair frame (42, 44) around said pivoting axis. The first position corresponds to a specific angular position of the wheel chair component (36) with respect to the wheel chair frame (42, 44), from which angular position the wheel chair component (36) may swing to one or the other side by switching the locking means (62, 66, 52, 72, 74) from the first to the second position. <IMAGE> |
