According to the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate; a plurality of pixel electrodes which are arranged on the first substrate and include a plate-shaped electrode having a plate shape and a plurality of fine branch portions extended from a side of the plate-shaped electrode to the outside; a second substrate which faces the first substrate; a plurality of common electrodes which are arranged on the second substrate and include a plurality of fine branch portions located in correspondence with the plate-shaped electrode of the pixel electrodes and a plate-shaped electrode located in correspondence with the plurality of fine branch portions of the pixel electrodes; and a liquid crystal layer which is located between the first substrate and the second substrate.
