<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of paper binding work by outputting a paper binding signal to a stapler at each time when paper transfers to the paper feed position to the sort bin of a rear stage in order to bind the papers received in the sort bin of a front stage. CONSTITUTION:When the gathering form of a group mode is selected and paper (a) is introduced into a branch route 9 by a route change-over mechanism 8, the paper (a) is held and fed by an endless belt 12 and a steel belt 22 and passes through a pair of paper feed rollers 20, 21 from a paper feed passage 17 so as to be scooped up by a guide member 16 on a lower side to be received in the sort bin of the uppermost stage and, at the point of time when predetermined gathering paper feed is completed, a paper distribution means 13 transfers to the paper feed position of the sort bin 7 of a rear stage and the paper binding action part of a stapler 14 is changed over to a paper binding position by outputting a paper binding signal from a control means 24 and positioned so as to correspond to the paper binding part (b) of the sort bin 7 of the front stage to bind the shoulder part of the paper (a) received in the sort bin 7 of the front stage and subsequently changed over to a retraction position.</p> |
