The tablet (1) of spacers has a flat under surface (6) and a ridged upper surface (7). At the lowest points (3) of the upper surface, the thickness (5) is narrow enough to allow spacers to be broken off by hand. The upper surface can have a roughened texture aid adhesion when the concrete is poured onto it. Sufficient spacers can be broken off the tablet to make the tablets the right size to cover the area to be floored.
