A rope anchoring device includes mounting part 12 for mounting the device to a structure, and tongue 16. A co-operating member 15a is spaced from the tongue. The surface of the co-operating member is shaped so that the space between the tongue 16 and member 15a tapers so that a rope T can be wedged between the tongue 16 and member 15a. The co-operating member may be a tie down rail to which the rope is secured. |
