A process for conditioning hot pressed lignocellulose tiles, made of e.g. wood fibres or shavings, using tannin-formaldehyde resin as a binding agent, comprises raising the tile moisture by storing in a relative air moisture in excess of 60%, especially 75-80%. The tile moisture is increased by up to 17%. The tannin formaldehyde resin is only added to one layer of tiles.
