An image information recording method of a broadcasting receiver is provided to store EPG(Electronic Program Guide) of a broadcasting program related to a still image in a meta data region when the still image is stored while a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) phone is receiving SDMB(Satellite DMB) signals, read and display the stored EPG if required. A still image is stored at the request of a user in an SDMB receiving mode(S3). When the still image is stored, EPG information related to the still image is recorded in a meta data region(S4). The EPG information is maintained when the stored still image is stored in another terminal or the fine name of the still image is changed.
