PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation thermometer enabling a user to know a measuring spot and a measuring timing. SOLUTION: A head part 100A receives an infrared ray radiated from a measuring object W or a belt conveyor BR, and calculates a measured temperature value. An external signal is inputted into a body part 100B. Changeover of the ON/OFF state of the external signal is synchronized with conveyance of the measuring object W by the belt conveyor BR, and the ON state is acquired at a timing when the measuring object W is positioned just under the head part 100A, and the OFF state is acquired at a timing when the measuring object W is not positioned just under the head part 100A, When the external signal is put in the ON state, the body part 100B commands lighting of laser diodes 60, 70 to the head part 100A.
