PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device and a cleaning method by which a box-shaped body can be cleaned at a high cleanness and a uniform cleanness without manual operation.SOLUTION: According to a cleaning device 40 of the present invention, conveyance of a box-shaped body 10 by a roller conveyor 44 is stopped at a home position inside a chamber of a cleaning room 42, positioning of the box-shaped body 10 is carried out, and thereafter, roll brushes 46, 48 are elevated, whereby a front face 10A and a back face 10C of the box-shaped body 10 are simultaneously cleaned. Next, a top face 10B of the box-shaped body is cleaned by the roll brush 46 while the box-shaped body 10 being conveyed in a carry-out direction by the roller conveyor 44, both side faces 10D of the box-shaped body 10 are simultaneously cleaned by the roll brush 50, and a bottom face 10E of the box-shaped body 10 is simultaneously cleaned by the roll brush 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
