PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device capable of stably focusing without uncomfortable feeling, when acquiring contrast of a subject and an AF evaluation value in accordance with a driving condition of a focus lens even when a shape of a mountain of the AF evaluation value changes.SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 includes: a focus evaluation calculation means for calculating an AF evaluation value; a first focus adjustment means for specifying a focusing position by the change of the AF evaluation value; and a plurality of focusing position vicinity specification means for specifying a focusing position vicinity by the change of acquired the plurality of the AF evaluation value; wherein a specification condition is more strictly set as the focusing position vicinity specification means whose specification accuracy is lower; and action of specifying the focusing position vicinity in the order in which the focusing position vicinity specification means whose specification accuracy is higher; and when the focusing position vicinity is firstly specified by any of the plurality of focusing position vicinity specification means, the focusing position is specified by the change of the AF evaluation value obtained by intermittently moving the focus lens. |
