<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for checking passage of a sterilization process capable of checking the sterilization condition of an individual sterilization target article by a simple means without a trouble of re-arranging containers at a high inspection speed and capable of knowing the temperature history of the individual article in its retort sterilization. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of articles to be sterilized each equipped with an IC tag having a memory with at least identification information for specifying the article written are put in a sterilizer.
