A drying method of a drum-type washing machine is provided to decrease the power consumption and to improve the reliability of the product by rotating the drum and drying the laundry in the condition that the blowing hole is opened without using blowing fan and heater. A drying method of a drum-type washing machine is composed of: a first step of moving/opening an opening and closing cover to flow the outer air through a blowing hole formed at a tub(102) after finishing the dehydration mode of the washing machine; a second step of flowing the air coming in through the blowing hole and rotating a drum(105) rotatably mounted in the tub to dry the laundry, wherein the laundry is put at the inner receiving space; a third step of moving the opening and closing cover and closing the blowing hole after finishing the drying of the laundry; and a fourth step of removing the laundry put in the drum.
