PURPOSE:To disperse the whole traffic by setting suitably a transfer route, based on the number of repeating broadband exchange nodes interposed between two terminating broadband exchange nodes, the throghput characteristic, and the degree of repercussion caused by generation of a fault. CONSTITUTION:In this broadband exchange network, eight sets of broadband exchange nodes 100a - 100h are connected like a ring through inter-broadband node transmission lines 201 - 208 using an optical fiber, and also, opposed broadband exchange nodes of point symmetry are connected through inter- broadband node transmission lines 209 - 211. Moreover, plural broadband ISDN terminals 300 are connected through an extension port 132 of each broadband node 100, a photocoupler 330 and a multiple extension interface (not shown in the figure), etc. Also, the broadband exchange note 100 is connected to a broadband ISDN public network through broadband ISDN trunk line ports 213, 214 in accordance with necessity. Furthermore broadband leased line ports 215, 216 are connected to broadband ISDN leased lines 218, 219 through a broadband multiplexing device 400. |
