PURPOSE:To sufficiently cool an outer tip angular part, to prevent the spouting of a molten metal from the gap between a plunger tip and casting sleeve and to prevent gnawing and seizure by flowing a cooling water between the inner surface of an outer tip and the outer surface of an inner tip. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water fed from a feeding port 4 is flowed to the outside from the inside of the cooling water channel 7 cut on the outer peripheral face of an inner tip 2 molten metal side end face 6 by passing the water pipe 5 provided on a plunger rod 3. It returns to the recessed part inside the inner tip by going round the channel cut on the outer peripheral face on the inner tip 2. It is further passed through the outer periphery of the water pipe 5 and drained from a drain hole 8. The cooling of an outer tip 1 is thus performed with good efficiency, the gnawing and seizure of a plunger tip are prevented and the service life can be improved. |
