<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unevenness of luminance in a projected image by means of simple constitution. SOLUTION: In the subject light source 1, the reflection face of a reflection mirror 3 is divided into a central reflection face 31 and a circumferential reflection face 32, and each of the divided reflection faces 31, 32 is formed into an ellipse using a light source 2 as the first focal point in either of the horizontal cross section, the vertical cross section, and the diagonal cross section along the optical center line Z, and the second focal points in the respective cross sections are deflected toward the reflection face, while the deflection quantity of the second focal point on the circumferential reflection face 32 is equal to that on the central reflection face 31 or more. In this way, luminance unevenness can be eliminated by means of a simple structure consisting of the light source 2 and the reflection mirror 3, while increase of efficiency and reduction of a size can be accomplished.</p> |
