PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent suction of a solution in a passage and the back flow of bubbles by spraying the flowing-out solution by a gas, to the tip part of a passage extending from a first vessel through a second vessel, and bringing the solution in the passage with the solution in the second vessel through a pore formed in the part piercing the second vessel of the passage. SOLUTION: Electrophoresis is made in a passage 3 between a first vessel 1 and a second vessel 4, and a solution atomizing gas carried into an ion source body 7 through a gas passage 9 and run out from an orifice 8. When the gas speed is high, the pressure of the terminal part of the passage 3 is lower than the atmospheric pressure near the level of the second vessel 4, and a solution 21 within the second vessel 4 is sucked to the passage through a pore 5 by this pressure difference, mixed with the electrophoresed solution carried from the first vessel 1, and sprayed by the gas running out from the orifice 8. The suction of the solution in an electrophoresis capillary by the atomizing gas can be suppressed to prevent reduction in resolution of electrophoresis. |
