A method for promoting browsing of advertising images displayed in an off-line state by display means. According to a character manager program (6) stored in the body (2) of a personal computer (1), a character advertisement is displayed on a display (3) by a character advertisement display unit (7) in the off-line state in which the line connection with the Internet (15) is cut off. When a user detecting unit (8) detects from the data inputting state, in which the data are inputted by a keyboard (4) or a mouse (5), the state in which the user confronts the display (3), a browsing point adding unit (9) adds browsing points to be exchanged by commodities. A browsing point transmitting unit (10) transmits the added data of the browsing points to a character advertisement running site (20), and the browsing points are stored in a point administration DB (36) so that they can be exchanged by the commodities. |
