PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additionally enhance the post-branching characteristics of an optical cable of a structure formed by housing optical fibers into a forming pipe obtained by molding of laminated tapes, disposing a sheath thereon and embedding tension members and lip cords in this sheath. SOLUTION: The coated optical fiber laminate 1 is housed into the forming pipe 12 which is obtained by molding of plural sheets of the tapes and is dividable and the lip cords 16 and 16 are disposed near the seam of the forming pipe 12. The sheath 14 is disposed on the forming pipe 12 and the tension members 15 and 15 and the lip cords 16 and 16 are embedded in this sheath 14 and display sections 14a and 14a indicating the positions of the lip cords 16 and 16 are formed in the outer peripheral part of the sheath 14. The display sections 14a and 14a are displayed by projecting lines, grooves or printing or extrusion molding.
