ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electroluminescent element having high production efficiency that has advantages by a photolithography method and can prevent the edge of a patterned section from flowing out to a coating liquid for coating after forming the section for causing emission failure by mixed colors and a change in a film thickness, and to provide the electroluminescent element using the manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electroluminescent element in which a patterned electroluminescent layer is formed by repeating a process for forming the electroluminescent layer containing a buffer layer and a luminous layer by patterning using the photolithography method at least for two times includes a process for forming a first pattern section with the first buffer layer as the lowest layer; and a process for coating a region containing the first pattern section with solution for forming a second buffer layer. The first buffer layer does not admix with the solution for forming the second buffer layer.
