摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technologies with which optical channel (wavelength) resources to be utilized between networks can be effectively utilized when an optical network comprises a first network and a second network in the optical network having a plurality of nodes. <P>SOLUTION: Between a first network and a second network, a connection node is provided for inserting light from the second network to the first network. The second network is provided with an access node for inserting a signal from a client to the second network. The light from the second network has a wavelength width which is settled within a band of a light wavelength to be used in the first network, and the light from the second network is processed by the connection node so that light wavelengths from a plurality of access nodes can occupy a passband of a single wavelength on the first network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
