PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with unnecessary feeding of a sheet when a suspension instruction is given during transfer, in a device constitution where a feeding operation and a transfer operation are inseparable from each other.SOLUTION: A sheet transfer device which transfers plural sheets 6 placed on a sheet mounting part 12 along a transfer path 10 longer than the sheets 6 causes a feeding mechanism 14 and a transfer mechanism 16 to operate simultaneously when a start instruction is received, and discriminates the presence/absence of a sheet 6 on the sheet mounting part 12 when a suspension instruction is received, and simultaneously stops the feeding mechanism 14 and the transfer mechanism 16 and outputs a message for urging a user to remove the sheet 6 from the sheet mounting part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
