<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment capable of preventing sudden consumption of a battery by controlling data communication speed according to a transfer condition. <P>SOLUTION: A control part reports, when it determines that data communication can be performed at a predetermined speed or more with good transfer environmental state, the transfer environmental state to a USB controller by a transfer state report means thereof to perform HS communication. The control part reports, when it determines that data communication cannot be performed at the predetermined speed or more due to a deteriorated transfer environmental state of a wireless part, the transfer environmental state of the wireless part to the USB controller by the transfer state report means thereof to perform LS communication as it is.
