PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can expand functions of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A portable device comprises: an operation part and a display part; operation screen display means that displays an operation screen for operating an image forming apparatus on the display part; and function execution means that can execute a specific function other than functions that can be executed by the image forming apparatus alone, the function being executed by using the image forming apparatus.
